ARE YOUR PETS MICROCHIP DETAILS UP-TO-DATE?

microchip

Recently, there have been several cases where lost animals have been found, however owners are not able to be located due to incorrect or out of date microchip details. Microchip’s often play a vital part in reuniting pets, so remember every time you change phone numbers and/or addresses you need to up-date these details as obsolete details are the reason many animals end up unclaimed in pounds or shelters.

Owners can check microchip details at any vet clinic or shelter and contact information for the main microchip registries are listed below;

  1. National Pet Register 1300 734 738 www.petregister.com.au
  2. Central Animal Records 03 9706 3187 www.car.com.au
  3. Australian Animal Registry 02 9704 1450 www.aar.org.au
