Special Cat and Kitten Adoption Day
Saturday 18th May 2013 10am - 3.30pm
Be part of the solution!
The AAPS is currently inundated with cats and kittens who are longing for permanent loving homes.
Anyone who has known the company of a cat will agree that they are wonderful social individuals.
They make loving companions and family members and can bring humor and happiness to those around them. Despite this, cats are often acquired with little thought given to the commitment needed to care for them for their entire lives, and as a result thousands are discarded to shelters and pounds every year.
Please attend our special adoption day if you can commit to responsible cat ownership and would like your life enriched by a
feline friend. if you have adopted a companion from us already and would consider welcoming another we would also love to see you there.
There will be coffee and snack food available and our experienced adoption staff will be on hand to provide advice and information on our beautiful cats
and kittens.
All adoptions will receive a gift from the AAPS to thank you for your support.

On Sundays, our adoption & viewing hours are 11.00am to 3.00pm.
If you are interested in meeting & adopting any of our animals, please consider that the whole adoption process can take up to 40 minutes so please allow enough time to view & meet the animals, keeping in mind that our adoptions must close at the specified times & all relevant paperwork finalised by those times. It can be very stressful for our volunteers & staff when customers come with the intention of adopting our animals nearing our adoption closing times. Thank you.
It’s not such a pleasant life to be stuck in an animal shelter when you’re a rabbit or a guinea-pig. We try our very best to make them happy & healthy while they wait for their new homes so this is where we desperately need your help. We would greatly appreciate FRESH donations o fendive, bok choy, choy sum, dutch carrot tops, parsley, broccoli, pak choy, wombak, chicory, radish tops, cos lettuce. Also, we need oaten or grass hay and bags of oaten chaff.
Anybody who wants to donate but lives too far away, or simply can't get in, you can use Safeway Online to deliver food to help the bunnies. https://www.homeshop.com.au/
You may have noticed a few professional photographs of some of our animals available for adoption on our website. These stunning pictures have been taken by David Oakley, a professional photographer who kindly volunteers his time to us once a week.
We feel quite privileged to have him on board and he is a pleasure to work with. In between his charity work and other amazing pursuits, David takes on private clients and he specializes in pet portraits. He has an amazing affinity with animals and the patience of a saint.
