Success stories
Nikita

Two and half years ago I was lucky enough to adopt this beautiful girl from the shelter. Nikita the German Shepherd/Blue Heeler cross was three months old and it was love at first sight. Since then we have moved house and she has settled in as a much valued member of the Marlborough Street dog park where this photo was taken. Mornings and nights are spent playing with her friends - keeps mum fit as well! - while her days are spent chewing on a bone and lying on her double bed complete with extra doona in winter.

I can't imagine life without her and would encourage anybody thinking of adoption to do so. So many dogs and puppies need loving homes but the love you get back is always more than you can possibly give.

Buddy and Cuddles

To Everyone at AAPS

I thought that you would be interested in putting Cuddles on your website under "Success Stories". I adopted Cuddles in August this year, she was on the "Golden Oldie" program as she was eleven. Cuddles has been with us for four months now and she is a real darling. Cuddles companion is Elmo (who is in one of the photos) and she loves his company but doesn't like it if he gets more attention than she does! Cuddles now lives in the lap of luxury, and spends her time sleeping on the couch, going for walks up at the oval, eating schmako's, liver treats, and chicken wings, rubs on the tummy, playing with Elmo and her toys and riding in the car. Cuddles is a real darling, she is very affectionate and loving. In October both Cuddles and Elmo attended the St Francis day at St James in East St Kilda where they both recieved a Blessing and a St Francis medal which they both wear on their collars, also Cuddles recieved alot of Cuddles from people who couldn't resist picking her up and cuddling her (and Cuddles didn't mind either).
Cuddles, Elmo and Grant and myself wish everyone at AAPS (and the dogs) a very Merry Christmas and we hope that the New Year is full of happiness and prosperity!

Buster

Hi everyone at Keysborough, We thought that we would send you latest photos of Buster. He has settled in great at home. He seems very happy and content and loves nothing better than going for his walks and chasing his balls around the back yard. He has a great love for my mother in law and forever follows her wherever she goes. Even sneaking in to her room at night and sleeping by her bedside. So thank you again to everyone at the AAPS for Buster he has brought a lot of joy into my mother and brother in laws lives. Merry Christmas to all love Buster and family.

Zahm

Dear friends at Keysborough

I was Tag No 23394, but now my name is Zahm.  I was adopted by my family on 1 December 2005.  My family's names are Kimberley, Brayden, Sally and Glenn and they love me very much...........to the end of the world.  I sleep on a queen size bed with Sally and Glenn.  I spend my time playing, sleeping, eating, going for walks and chewing my chewy toys.  I chewed one of my toys in half and I undid the knot in another one, all in a couple of days!  I did  also have a squeaky toy.........but I got the squeaker out of it.  Some times I dig holes and go crazy.   LIFE IS HARD HERE..........NOT!!!!!  This will be my first Christmas, I can't wait.  I'm even getting presents and I'm giving one to Kimberley and Brayden.

Love Zahm
