Success stories
Gruff and Angel

Hi everyone at AAPS

I just wanted to let you know that I now have a great home with my new friend Gruff and a new mummy called Michelle. They adopted me on the 16/10/05 and I met Gruff and some other bunnies they have. My new Mummy calls me Angel now, and I have a new hutch to play in! Its huge! Gruff is a desexed male piggy, and he loves me- he sleeps cuddled up with me and lets me eat all the yummy food first.. Mummy says that Gruff is in love with me!

Thank you to everyone at AAPS for looking after me while I was there. I miss all my piggy friends and bunnies, and Leigh too, but I am happy I have my own Mummy who loves me so much. I just wanted to let you all know I am happy here, living in a Piggy Palace with some new friends. I think Mummy might adopt another girl piggy maybe... or even a bunny friend for Thumper the mini-lop!!

I hope you like the photos and Im sure mum will let me write you all a letter again soon!Say hi to all the piggys and bunnies there and tell them I think of them often and miss them lots too! With guinea piggy hugs and squeaks- Angel xoxoxox
Charlie and Comet

These are my two dogs that I brought from the Keysborough lost dogs home

Charlie was purchased in June 2004. He was very shy and was scared of most things and didn’t even know what a walk was or how to play, today he walks around the house thinking that he owns the place and he jumps on your bed at 6am reading for his walk every morning, he is loving and caring and now is fairly out going and slowly learning how to play, he loves shoes.

Comet was purchased on 1 January 2005. She had a nasty looking lump on her head when we purchased her, which we had removed in June this year, she lovely little lady.  She is very energetic.

Charlie and Comet get on very well together, they get into mischief and both love their daily walks they take up a seat each on the cough, they also look after our dad really well when we are out shopping.  And they are so excited when you get home from work and meet you at the front door.

Regards, Helen Quinn

Rosie
On the 24th November 1990 we bought a dog from your Animal shelter.  She has just celebrated her 15th birthday.  Her name is Rosie and she is a very valued member of our family.   As a fifteen year old she is very well and active. We gave her a small family party and I have attached a photo of her.  I just thought I would send you this email to let you know that 15 years down the track we are still very glad that were were able to take Rosie home with us. Marla

Hi there,

This is Marla as she looks now - having a cuddle with Maisy.  We adopted Marla from your shelter at the end of March.  She was very underweight and very depressed.  We weren't looking for a shepherd, but Nicci brought her out to us and we fell in  love with her straight away!  She is incredibly affectionate and although it's taken a while, is starting to become quite playful - nothing beats a cuddle in her eyes though!  She loves her walks and really enjoys taking the kids to school, because there are so many more people there to hug her!  And to show her appreciation she leaves them lots of hair all over their navy blue school clothes!!  We have been taking her to dog school and already she has moved up 2 levels.  She is still not great with other dogs but with people (who she spends most of her time with) she is just a big sook.  Marla has been a wonderful addition to our family and loves us as much as we love her.  Thank you so much for looking after her and all the other animals so well.
