Hi everyone,

Just a short note to let you know who Maggie is going. We adopted Maggie, Dalmation X Labrador, from your shelter on 28th January. She has settled in well - loves the kids, the backyard and most importantly our furniture. She sleeps on the recliner every night without even a peep! She's very lovable, almost too much! We are still working on the jumping up and the chewing but we know she'll get there. She gets walked everyday and has already learnt to sit at the curb. At the moment we are putting a pool in and she loves
the huge hole in the ground. Here is a photo of her in her favourite spot.

I look at her sometimes and wonder how she ended up in the shelter. I just wish that when people took on puppies they realised that puppies are naughty and boisterous but with some hard work and dedication you will get the most loyal and trusting friend you could ever have.

Hello everyone at Keysborough!

I wanted to let you know that my wonderful whippet, Fidel, is doing just great!

We adopted Fidel (on the left) a year ago November.  He was a sad scared guy, apparently dumped at the AAPS with two siblings.  We brought our current whippet, Paco (on the right), to meet Fidel, and they seemed to hit it off right away.  Thank goodness because Fidel needed a lot of help.  He was scared of everything, couldn’t walk on a lead, and acted as though he had never been out of a kennel.

Things certainly have changed!  Fidel loves to walk and play on the dog-beach here in Altona, is well behaved on the lead, and he and Paco are best buddies!  As you can see they even share their favourite couch together.  Fidel has turned into a loving, sweet guy, with a wicked sense of humour as well.

Thanks to all the folks at Keyborough for all the great work you do.  Just thought you’d like to see a another success story…

Fidel has turned into his name; Faithful and True.
