Success stories
Mac and Finn

This is a picture of my beautiful babies Mac and Finn, both of whom were adopted from AAPS. Mac is an 18 month old Wolfhound/Bullmastiff boy, and Finn is an 8 month old Ridgeback/Mastiff girl. Both of them are so spoiled and are the stars of the household.

Finn and Mac say: We are both very spoiled and loved in our new home. We sleep on a queen sized bed with our mum. We eat the best food, only fresh food like 4 legs and VIP rolls, no canned stuff for us. We also get lots smackos, probably too many. Most days we get taken for 2 walks, and a swim. We are lucky to live in a house that backs on the wetlands and has many lakes, where we love to swim. We even get to go for a drive in the car each day which we both love. Mum always takes us for a drive when she goes to get the newspaper and milk. We also like to wrestle in the back yard as we are doing in the photo. Thanks AAPS for giving us a new home with the best mum ever.

Thanks, Suzanne Preston.

Archie

Hi guys We adopted him about 3 years ago when he was known as Brian. After much debate we renamed him Archie. Unfortunately for us he came with a very vigorous appetite, which my wife indulged, and eventually he developed a severe case of pancreatitus. He spent 2 weeks at different vet hospitals (including Werribee) but we eventually got him back. With a strict diet and plenty of exercise he has made a full recovery and is a completely new dog.

We have sent you 2 photos, one of him holding hands with his girlfriend (our beagle x kelpie, Roxanne) when he was overweight, and one of him now. I think you'll agree that he looks much better now and Roxy certainly agrees. We love him very much, and he is a great companion and we find it hard to believe that he was left at a shelter. We hope that others might read this and also rehouse some of the other wonderful dogs that shelters like yours have and experience how much laughter an adopted friend can bring to your home.

Kind regards Frank & Tina Descalco

Lulu

Dear Animal Protection Society Last June I adopted my baby or should I say she adopted me.  After 10 months I don't know how I managed for so long without her. I adore my Lulu and she is the boss of this household.  She is my family.  I live alone and don't have any family in Australia.    She is an only dog and of course as all only children go is spoilt thoroughly.  Not that she objects. She is the most adorable of creatures.  Has two beds plus has a mortgage on mine.

Her best friend Tyra , a boxer, lives two door down.  Tyra is also a Keysborough graduate.  The two of them have a run in the paddock at bottom of our street and of course Lulu is the dominant one and always wins. Enclosed I am sending a couple of photos of my baby.

I would like to thank you again for providing the joy of my life.

Lucyna Artymiuk,   Noble Park
