Success stories
Papillon

Hello,
I just wanted to say hello & drop a note to everyone @ the Shelter. I am one of the greyhound pups & I went to live in Hampton, so I'm on the beach everyday, thinking of sailing a ship soon.

Luckily my owner & I, Papillon, have agreed that racing is just not a good thing for a lazy doggie like me. I mean I prefer sleep & lounging about & chasing snails around the garden. I hope all my siblings have also found a good home & if any of them live close-by I'd love to meet them for a quick run & a chat. I'm growing up quite fast & have totally taken the house over from my human friends, I mean, the couch is mine, the garden is mine....it's all mine. Thx 4 your care @ the shelter.
Bye 4 now.

Bailey

Well Bailey has settled in to a life in a new house with a brand new kennel.
He is a happy dog who is full of life. He enjoys his walks twice a day combined with cricket practice - tennis balls are his favourite toy now. His favourite tennis ball is a rubber one that really bounces, and you can give it a bit of a chew without it popping. He is starting to teach my other dog Holly how to look like a turtle - you just need to run around the backyard with a baby wading pool on your back!! He will also have a job at dog training where he shows all those wonderful calming signals that help others relax when he is around.

Thanks for rescuing him so that I could have the opportunity to adopt such a clever dog who is motivated by food and a smile.

Fyn

Hi Rio now called Fyn and we her proud parents thought we'd drop you a line to say how we're doing.

Fyn was 4 1/2 months old when we fell in love with her at the shelter, a busy little puppy jumping around and racing around the room with so much energy. Now Fyn is 7 months old and is a fantastic dog, she has grown considerably since we adopted her, but Fyn still thinks that she's small enough to snuggle on your lap when you sit on the floor. Her hobbies are digging for treats and toys in her sand pit and then running frantically around the garden displaying what she's found, tracking for objects that I've hidden around the house and garden and now even on walks, she gets so excited when I say the words 'Find it!' and she's off with her nose to the ground to find what I've hidden.

Fyn loves her walks, especially through forestry's where there's lots to explore, and we can have a good game of hide and seek! Fyn wins every time. In 2006 Fyn will be experiencing a whole new life as she is moving to Wales with us to live her life in the open country side, with lots of mountains to climb and beaches to explore.

Although I'm not sure what she'll have to say about all the rain we have in Wales! She has her passport and tickets ready. Once she has settled into our home then we will rescue a brother or sister for her to bound around with on our walks and adventures. Fyn is happy in our family and has an exciting life to lead with us. We hope the other animals at the shelter will be as happy as Fyn one day soon.

Best wishes Fyn and family Here are some recent pictures of Fyn
