Success stories |
Ziggy |

Just a short note to let you know how Ziggy is getting on in his new home, he is ruling the entire house already. When he is not being cuddly and sweet, he is making us laugh with his antics and unique personality. He has especially bonded with Doug and enjoys naps on the couch, and helping out doing handyman tasks in the garage, where he squeezes himself into every little nook and cranny and gets himself covered with cobwebs. After all this activity he retires to the couch again, or stretches out on the rug.
Ziggy chose us to be his new family, but there are many more lovely cats at the shelter who would make perfect family pets. We tell everyone what wonderful work you are doing, so keep it up. I know it seems hard sometimes but there have been many happy endings, and ours is just one of them.
Thank you again for our wonderful Ziggy.

Tank |

Hi everyone
It's been nearly 6 months since we adopted the gorgeous Tank & we just wanted to wish you all the best for 2006! Tank just got back from Mildura where he spent Christmas & New Year's with my family on their 18000 acre farm. Boy does he love holidaying in the country, no dog proof fences, no walking on a lead, just lots of space & freedom. He is really well behaved on the farm & has learnt to ride in the back of the ute to check the water troughs. He has also gotten over his car sickness, which is a big relief for such a long drive!
I forgot to take our camera to the farm but I have attached some photos of Tank playing at our local oval today at lunch time. He loves fetching the ball & the ball thrower has been the best investment ever. He has even taught our other dog Mallee to fetch. Today the sprinklers were on for the first time & he had a great time playing with the spray - he loves water games. I love their tongues & ears in some of these photos!
Tank has been winning the hearts of all our extended family over the holiday season, he is such a sweet loving boy. He gets lots of cuddles & kisses everyday, personally I find him irresistible!
Lots of best wishes for your wonderful staff & your beautiful animals waiting for a forever home, we think of you often & love checking your website.

Muppet |

We adopted Muppet in September 2005 when she was 11 weeks old, thought to be a greyhound cross and known as Daisy. We think now she is Whippet x Kelpie - a great combo that runs fast and goes forever!!!!
We fell in love with her instantly and amazingly that love seems to keep growing and we spend hours just amazed at how lucky we are to have found her. She has begun dog classes and is so very well behaved. She loves going to the park to play with other dogs - especially her best friend Chops - a large German Shepard. She just adores a cuddle on the bed and is very sneaky about getting up there - waiting until we are asleep before creeping up and warming our toes.
Muppet has been on a few holidays and settled very happily into wherever we take her. She has had the joy of investigating and rounding up Kangaroos, bounding through shallow water at the beach - a wee bit scared of water still but getting braver all the time. She enjoys bush walks, playing on a friends farm and visiting friends houses. She is also very content to be home, though at meal times or walk times she can get rather talkative. A real hunter gatherer we find piles of shoes in her bed daily - no damage done (touch wood), but lots of them. She also loves socks and has been caught burying a few.
Altogether Muppet has settled in amazingly well and is very content with lots of love to give and get. We could not ask for a more perfect dog for us and our lifestyle. Now 6 months old and still growing we never really know what will happen next, but love all the surprises!
Thank you
Ingrid, Rob & Muppet |
