China

Just wanted to say thank you for all your help in choosing the best dog for us. We have had China (TBone) for 3 weeks now and we are so happy. He is the most gorgeous dog and we love him so much, within 5 mins of having him home he had found his favourite spot on the couch, so he has had no trouble settling in. We changed his name to China and he has taken to it well,

Thank you for taking such good care of him while he was staying with you.

Rani

I thought I’ld just drop you a line to let you know how I am doing. It’s a hard life, snuggling up to my feline brother Gaelen, being spoilt rotten when I visit my Grandparents and basically enduring all the hugs and treats and attention from my new Mother.

The one touch of sanity is my feline sister. Tasha apparently also came from the AAPS about 3 years ago and she hates me. I chased her a few times, but now she and I ignore one another. Unfortunately I have to share my hugs with Tasha and Gaelen, but I have been told I am a magnanimous ruler.
I have been renamed “Rani” which means Queen in Bengali. I suppose its about time someone recognized my Royal tendencies. It must be my Tibetan Spaniel blood!
Anyway, I shall sign off now….hoping to see you all at the AAPS Christmas Party.

Sprite

I adopted Sprite 12 yrs in May ,she has settled in well  and quickly worked out the routineand found my bed the first night although she didn't find her voice for a month.

As you can see she and Bailey are the best of mates they both love their walks on and off lead and especially love the beach.

Sprite loves to chase the seagulls when they are flying she runs so fast it is hard to beleive that she is 12. Kate

Janelle

Meet Janelle who we renamed 'Chloe' (Sorry about that).
After seeing her on your website I just new Ross and I were meant to have her and could offer her a good home.

After losing our much loved 13 year old labrador/retriever in April the house just felt a tad empty. Chloe has certainly changed that and has settled in very well.

We shower her with much love and affection and she just laps it up. She is very well behaved which we find amazing considering she had no real human socialisation previously. We didn't know what to expect.
As you can see Chloe loves her bed as well as curling up next to you. She follows you everywhere. Chloe just wants your company.

Thank you for her and keep up the good work.
Kind regards.

Patch

About three months ago we adopted Patch from your shelter. Just sending you a pic of him with mum. He has settled in and is now running the place.

Thank you so much. You are doing a fantastic job, giving animals (and people) that second chance for happiness.

All the best

Cherie

Missy

I just wanted to send through some photos of Missy. She has settled into our little family quite nicely.

She's enjoying her two walks every day with mum, dinner time (she has already gained weight!), playing with her toys and lazying about the house (she's on my lap right this minute). She really is a gorgeous little gal.

I hope you all enjoy these photos.
Cheers
Vanessa

Karma

We are just writing to let you know about Nigel (renamed Karma) who we got from you a couple of months ago. We had recently returned from living overseas and couldn't wait to adopt an animal when we were back and settled in for good.

Karma was asleep in his igloo, came out to see us and was so gorgeous and friendly we just fell in love with him! The fantastic staff also gave us the igloo to help the adjustment to his new home. Karma has settled in beautifully and so quickly. He is an absolutely gorgeous, well adjusted, and somewhat spoilled cat!

My partner initially insisted that Karma not sleep on the bed with us... this changed to not sleeping on his side, then just not on his pillow - and now he calls him to come to bed with us at night! He's been well and truly won over. We are looking at coming down in the next few weeks to find Karma a friend!

Roxy

Thanks for letting us have her. Everyone in the family adores her. Roxy has her own bed but she prefers to cuddles up with me or my sisters in bed at night. She is a smart little dog and loves tummy rubs & car rides. We brought her for grooming, but I don't think it was really a pleasant experience for especially the bathing part. She hates water & loves eating fish, maybe she thinks she's a cat. Thanks for all the good work you have done for these animals! Attached above, are Roxy's photos.

Thanks heaps
Wylyn

Mishca & Benji

On the 24th September I adopted Mishca & Benji-Kavoodles-Spanoodle?

Well what an interesting 4 weeks it has been.
We fast tracked toilet training. They are excellent with that(took 2 weeks)
They love the cows next door and want to play with them all the time and they let them
lick them as much as they can.Needless to say I am currently re-inforcing all of our fencing.
Benji in particlular I feel is extremely intelligent and makes up games with his beloved
ball(s) that have to be with him all the time.He will sit on command.

Mischa is a little bit more laid back, doesn't much care about toys.

But wow are these two loveable and affectionate and can't get enough of the affection given.  They are just learning to respond to their names. It's obvious they have none or little training by anyone. They are learning the rules and boundries here and I am very pleased with them. They are mischievous though and probably have been left to their own devices in the past. They play with each other all the time, eat together, sleep together. They are a delight.

So thankyou to everyone
Regards-Hazel
Tasha & Loki

Last Friday we adopted two kittens (19971, 19972) from the shelter and embarked on a long drive back to Lara with them.  Heavy traffic and several traffic jams made the drive a bit stressful for the driver (me!), but the kittens were fantastically well behaved.  Once back home they have settled really well and seem very happy.  The training is also going well - my wife and I have learned when we are to sit down so that they can come on our lap; when we need to get the toys to play; when we need to open new doors so the exploration of our large house can continue.  As you can see from the photos - see Picasa album shared - they love their scratching post/perch.  They are also big fans of the cat tunnel, unfortunately my digital camera has broken down, so no photos of that.

Tasha, the female has a bit of a cough from time to time - we hope that settles as the cats do more and the stress levels subside.  Loki, the male has been sneezing a bit yesterday, so will keep an eye on that too.  But appetites are good, they are lively, eyes are clear, so no other signs of concern.

kind regards,

Jürgen
