Success stories; April, 2010

Annie and Gracie

Annie and Gracie came to our home in February 2010.
They are 2 gorgeous Westies who look a lot different from when we adopted them.
They were very shaggy back then but we have since had them clipped into the traditional "Westie' cut.
The girls had a bit of a hard time, being surrendered as their owners went overseas. (How could you ever leave them!)
Then they were adopted out but returned to the AAPS where they were just waiting for us.
We are so thrilled to have them, they are the most beautiful girls - totally devoted to each other, as we are to them.
Thanks you so much AAPS.

Ari

Hi there, you probably remember me as Snowy the deaf cat but my mama and papa have since been re named me Ari "white" Gold. I love to be cradled like a baby, purr like a lawn mower, attack my mum from under the bed, climb the fly wire door like the spider cat I am, cause mayhem under the doona and view the world from upside down.

Thanks for finding my parents for me, love and miss you all - Ari xo.

P.s. My mum thinks I'm so cute she literally wants to eat me all up.

Buddy

Hi all
Would like to pass on this photo of Buddy and friends. We adopted Buddy from Keysborough in Jan 2010. He is a happy boy.
Regards Rod

Cookie

We would like to let AAPS Keysborough know that Cookie (formerley Sadie) who was adopted 16 March 2010 has settled into her new home as though she had been there forever.

Here is her story -

Here I am sitting in one of my favourite trees in my garden. I have been with my new family as of 16 March 2010. I am indeed so loved and spolit rotten by all my family. I even have a toy mouse made by my Mum from a vintage mink jacket!! ...which I absolutely love and adore. When I'm not out in the yard chasing the birds or frolicking in the catnip, I love to lie stretched out on the windowsill of the dining room bay window. My family tells me they are lucky to have me but I think I'm the lucky one.

With best wishes
Cookie and Family

Tasha

I want to share our story of the adoption of our dog Tasha in May 2003. Her tag number was 19094. Tasha is a Maltese/Poodle X. We have had many years of joy with her and she is the most beautiful natured and intelligent dog. We can't help but wonder why she was left at the home at the age of 3 years and often think of her previous owner and how much she has missed out on. (We were told when we got Tasha that her previous owner couldn't look after her anymore). I know many years have passed but if possible would love to take Tasha to visit her previous owner as it must have broken her heart to give her up and it would be great for her to see her again and know that she is well looked after, in fact, spoilt.

Kind regards,Vivienne

Ruby

I adopted "Ruby" maltese X from your shelter in November 09. I Have to admit she is abit of work but who cares about that when she looks at you with those beautiful soulful eyes! She adores cuddles and i adore that she loves them cos i give them to her all the time! :)

As soon as i opened the front door to let her in she ran straight through the house like she owned it already! She was then greeted by Jasmine my pug as seen in the photo and they clicked straight away and started playing with there toys tugging at the rope & ball, so cute!

Thank-you so much for Ruby she's very much loved and im so happy shes part of this family!

Kind regards, Kisha.

Boofa

On the 17th March we adopted 11 yo Boofa (now Barney) from the Keysborough Animal Shelter. Now weeks later he is so loved and so much a part of our family that we feel like we’ve had him for years. He has made himself at home, sleeping on the children’s beds and the couch. He loves the beach and fishing, walks in the bush behind our house, and is the first one in the car for the school run (he loves being fussed over by the kids at the school gate) . He has the most beautiful gentle nature and rarely barks. Our family feels so lucky to have him in our lives. Thank you for letting us adopt this gorgeous boy.
Should Barneys previous owners happen to enquire as to his welfare pleased feel free to forward this message and photo, and as we are curious as to his history, would welcome any further insights his former family may have to offer.
Regards

Leanne and Julian, Angus, Leo and Eleanor.

Oakie

We adopted Oakie in January 2010.
We now can't imagine life without our silly Oakie boy. He's the best puppy in the world, who enjoys his walks, rides in the car, scooby snacks and mornings snuggled up to in bed.

Thanks AAPS for helping us find our beautiful boy!
